Stock taking with RFID technology
We recommend RFID (radio frequency) technology based stock taking for companies in the case of which there is a large amount of tangible assets in a single room, or where the assets are difficult to reach, placed high or are at places that cannot be easily approached. The efficiency of stock taking can be increased by reducing the time spent on the activity (cost savings), since, in the case of RFID technology based stock taking, it is not necessary for the scanner unit to see the object in question, so you don’t need to open the cabinet door, lift up the chairs, or crawl under the table. The scanner is able to read the IDs of multiple items at once; RFID IDs can only be read using compatible data collectors.
The advantages of RFID stock taking:
- able to scan the IDs of several devices simultaneously, thus making the stock taking process faster;
- larger scanning distance, so objects that are not fully visible or are inaccessible can be taken to stock as well;
- any data can be recorded in the RFID tag, which can also be rewritten.
