Efficiency, accuracy: RFID technology and RFID solutions in the industry
As a market leader of the industry in Hungary, Vonalkód Rendszerház Kft. has been known as a trailblazer in adapting and applying innovative technologies and solutions. Thanks to the professional training and research conducted in the RFID laboratory established by Vonalkód Rendszerház in 2006, our colleagues have delivered solutions based on RFID technology to numerous industrial fields that have proven to be and continue proving to be effective.
The following application examples illustrate how the use of RFID technology during the production processes facilitates a much faster, more accurate and more effective data entry and identification.
Efficient and economic raw material supply – without a huge stock
In the industry, providing a constant and reliable raw material supply in production is always a daunting challenge to logistics. The traditional method in maintaining a safe level of material supply in production is stockpiling a “comfortingly” large stock, which entails a painful amount of costs. Because of that, a new path must be explored in modern logistics processes which will ensure constant material supply in production by reducing stocks and service time instead of expanding stocks. By using the RFID technology, stocks in production can be significantly decreased, as it enables fast, precise and automatic – without the help of an operator – registration of the usage of the raw material in production, as well as its booking into the ERP system.
Customer satisfaction can be increased even against severe demands
Domestic and international corporations are putting in place more and more stringent quality requirements for their suppliers. With the increasing competition, ask yourself: which supplier can afford to deliver a malfunctioning product due to an accidental production or packaging failure, endangering its position with the current customer? To examine numerous products simultaneously, solution is given by the fast, precise and automatic data collection provided by RFID technology. A fix-mounted RFID reader with the belonging emitters is able to read the RFID tags placed on the products before their delivery – even during the packaging process. If the system detects any failure, there is a chance to correct it before it is shipped – this way it can be ensured that the right amount of the right product is going to be packaged and delivered. And a quality product shipped in time will always increase customer satisfaction.
Electronic monitoring of stock levels with automatic material refill
The kanban system of Vonalkód Rendszerház Kft built on RFID technology-based provides a solution for registering and booking detached usage of raw materials automatically, without an operator. With the help of the system, production material stock management becomes more effective, it will always be clear how much of a material and in what units and how frequently it is used during production. The solution allows stock reduction to be detected immediately as well as immediate replenishment. The system is constantly monitoring the component and subunit stock levels of the manufacturing units. It controls the material preparation, refill and production unit material exchange processes, according to the previously set parameters. An SAP corporate governance system can also be operated behind these material exchanges as a central filing system.
Stock taking with RFID technology – fast, accurate, efficient
Stock taking with RFID technology is useful for companies where the number of items per room is numerous, or the objects are difficult to approach, or can be found at heights, or at places that cannot be easily approached. When performing stock taking with RFID technology, it is not necessary for the reader unit to see the object in question, so you do not need to open cabinet doors, lift chairs or crawl under the table. This way, time spent with inventory taking can be significantly reduced. Inventory taking with RFID technology is more effective as the data collector can read the identifiers of several devices simultaneously, making the process faster and more efficient. The data collector can also read from a greater distance, therefore objects out of reach or not entirely visible can easily be taken to stock as well.
